Tulip Lantern

Inspired by Japanese paper lanterns, the Tulip Lantern is a new take on wooden lighting.Indents are made on the sides of each veneer strip and placed side-by-side resulting in a consistent shell-like pattern featured around the lantern's body allowing light to shine through. Each veneer strip is bent to create a silhouette that takes inspiration from the tulip bulb. A handle created in similar fashion is added to its button top for easy handling when moving the lantern in different home spaces. Looks its best when placed atop sideboards, desks, or even on the floor.
